A Pinch of Salt...

The powerful little grain.....
The 66th year since India officially gained Independence.
A glimpse from our bookshelf..
A collection of old favourites from the Sub-continent among folk-art from Bengal: Shivaji, Nehru, Vivekananda, Tagore, Gandhi and Subhas Chandra Bose.

Salt Fields on the way from Madras/ Chennai to Pondicherry/ Puducherry
during our trip last summer.

This goes to The Well-Seasoned Cook, Susan's Black and White Wednesdays # 46 event hosted this week at her blog.

  1. Love your bookshelf and I am floored at how you have it clutter free. Mine has books, books and more books that threaten to fall off their shelves. Also I have seen the salt mounds so long ago near Tuticorin, these pictures are amazing.

  2. Thankyou Lata! Wish I could see your bookshelf! This is part of a display case, technically not a bookshelf hence the attempt at a clutter-free space. This was my first view of a salt field... on some parts they appeared in pink hues too.

  3. Pictures are great, love you bookshelf, have seen salt fields on the way when we visited Pondicherry once

Thank you for your valuable feedback!
