These are vignettes from a wonderful package all the
way from California from the lovely Jenn of RookNo17 . Thankyou
Jenn! Jenn blogs about her creative crafts through a lovely tapestry of pictures and posts. This was a first for me and it was such a delight to receive the
parcel with goodies in the Foodie Penpals exchange started by Lindsay of The Lean Green Blog.
With many apologies to Jenn for the delay in posting about her very generous and thoughtful package... Jenn picked up produce from places and farms she visits with her family. It came during our short camping trip; it was a perfect welcome home package of sourdough bread, artichokes, garlic pods from Gilroy, Olalie Berry Jam from Gizdich Ranch and my most treasured item in the parcel: California sea salt!!!!
I kept delaying the post since I could not find the photographs of her lovely note, the parcel, and sourdough bread taken the day I received the parcel. However, I have the artichokes, the garlic and sea-salt.... Am waiting to open the Olalie Berry bottle for a special occasion.... and savour the goodies once again. Thank you Jenn! :-)
I have several recipes to try with this but it was perfect for Roasted Whole Head of Garlic. A couple of cloves went into my Aloo Paratha recipe (it went into my lunch box and did not wait for the camera to click).
This goes to Susan's Black and White Wednesdays # 40 hosted this week by Tomato Blues.
The Daylilies of this white hot summer on our deck and on the table....
