Strawberry Buttermilk Cake

For Have the Cake Challenge...
Recipe modified from the original Raspberry Buttermilk Cake, given at Gourmet.

Cooling rack imprints...

Weekend visit to the Strawberry Farm in the south of Richmond yeilded a rich box of juicy strawberries...

  1. The Cake looks great...and I love strawberries :)

  2. YUMMY! Love Strawberries in any dessert.

  3. Strawberry Cake looks delicious.
Regarding the Toor idli- For frementation we add baking soda and keep that for 8 hours.
and Depending on your idli mould or length of glass you pour the batter(I add 3/4 glass full of batter)It won't reduce alike urad dal idli.
Yes I sliced it just for the photo:)
Giev it a try and let me know how it is?

  4. Love strawberries. But here they are not available where I stay. I would be just happy seeing your photos.

  5. Thank you everyone!
Thanks Madhuri I have to try the recipe!
I know Chitra... and the flavour of these farm fresh strawberries are so different from the store-bought varieties which feel more 'airy' and not as flavourful or sweet. I beleive they are hybrids that are meant to endure the rigours of shipping and shelf-life!

Thank you for your valuable feedback!
