We walked part of the 9th Street Italian Market after lunch at Sabrina's Cafe before we had to 'keep time' and turn back! The website gives you a fair idea about the shops and the vendors. The market is considered to be the oldest Farmers Market in the US. The ambience was predominantly Italian but now the vendors are more Southeast Asian and South American. Apparently the Italian Market now has the best Mexican and Vitenamese fare in Philadelphia.
Gelatto at Anthony's Italian Coffee House: Chose Tiramisu. Good initial flavours with just the right touch of cinnamon but then an underlying 'eggy' flavour.
They had several speciality Italian coffees but one wants to linger and browse before buying and twas not possible... so a detailed trip to the Market, Rodin and Museums for our next trip to Philly!
I hope you enjoyed your short trip well. Thanks for sharing.
