Kozhukatta: Steamed Rice Balls with Sweet Coconut Stuffing

Madhura Kozhukatta: Sweet Kozhukatta
Rice Balls stuffed with a coconut and jaggery mix, flavoured with powdered cardamom
 and steamed!

Leftover Rice dough from the weekend Nool Puttu recipe, so there are no 'measurements' for this one!:-)

    Yes, Chitra, I think the Keralites modified the modakam in their own way!:-)
    It was always made alongwith Puttu and the filling was plain grated coconut-still my favourite! Almost a mid day snack or a tea time one, the plain grated coconut one was always preferred by the ladies!

  6. You may try the same with filling made of coconut , chopped green chillies,coriander, little ginger and curry leaves and salt. It tastes well. May be when you make put the photos here for us to see.
